วันที่ 6 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรี ให้เกียรติเป็นประธาน งานครบรอบ 24 ปี กรมคุ้มครองสิทธิและเสรีภาพ กระทรวงยุติธรรม ชูแนวคิด "ความยุติธรรมที่ล่าช้า คือความไม่ยุติธรรม" "มูลนิธิปวีณาหงสกุลเพื่อเด็กและสตรี" ได้รับการยกย่องเชิดชูเกียรติ เป็นหน่วยงานดีเด่นด้านการช่วยเหลือเหยื่อผู้บริสุทธิ์ในกระบวนการยุติธรรม ประจำปี 2569 และนายกรัฐมนตรีได้เยี่ยมชมบูทนิทรรศการมูลนิธิปวีณาหงสกุลเพื่อเด็กและสตรี โดยนางปวีณา หงสกุล ประธานมูลนิธิปวีณาฯ มอบหมาย พลเอก เทอดศักดิ์ มารมย์ รองประธานมูลนิธิปวีณาฯ ให้การต้อนรับ และรายงานประวัติความเป็นมามูลนิธิปวีณาฯ ที่ก่อตั้งมา 27 ปี และรับเรื่องราวร้องทุกข์มาร่วม 2 แสนราย
โดยในปีนี้ มูลนิธิปวีณาหงสกุลเพื่อเด็กและสตรี ได้รับการคัดเลือกจาก กรมคุ้มครองสิทธิและเสรีภาพให้เป็น "หน่วยงานดีเด่นช่วยเหลือเหยื่อผู้บริสุทธิ์ในกระบวนการยุติธรรม ประจำปี 2569" เนื่องจากเป็นหน่วยงานที่มีผลโดดเด่นเป็นที่ประจักษ์ มีบทบาทสำคัญในการช่วยเหลือเยียวยาผู้เสียหายอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยการทำงานเชิงรุก ประสานงานกับหน่วยงานภาครัฐเพื่อให้เหยื่อได้รับความคุ้มครองเยียวยาอย่างรวดเร็ว และได้รับความเชื่อมั่นจากประชาชน เป็นที่พึ่งสำคัญของเด็กและสตรีที่ถูกละเมิดสิทธิและผู้ที่ไม่ได้รับความเป็นธรรมในสังคมมาอย่างยาวนาน
สำหรับงานวันนี้ จัดขึ้นโดย กระทรวงยุติธรรม และกรมคุ้มครองสิทธิและเสรีภาพ ภายใต้ชื่องาน "๒๔ ปี กับการช่วยเหลือเหยื่อผู้บริสุทธิ์ที่รวดเร็ว... ทั่วถึง...และเป็นธรรม" เพื่อรณรงค์ให้สังคมตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของสิทธิผู้เสียหาย โดยยึดหลักการสำคัญที่ว่า “Justice delayed is justice denied” หรือ ความยุติธรรมที่ล่าช้า คือความไม่ยุติธรรม ณ ห้อง Grand Diamond Ballroom อาคาร IMPACT Forum เมืองทองธานี
นอกจากการรับมอบรางวัลแล้ว มูลนิธิปวีณาฯ ยังได้รับเชิญให้ร่วมจัดบูทนิทรรศการแสดงผลงานตลอดระยะเวลาการทำงานเข้าสู่ปีที่ 27 โดยนำเสนอเคสตัวอย่างการช่วยเหลือที่เป็นรูปธรรมและการส่งต่อผู้เสียหายเข้าสู่กระบวนการยุติธรรม ภายในงาน นายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมบูทนิทรรศการพร้อมให้กำลังใจเจ้าหน้าที่มูลนิธิฯ และมีผู้เข้าร่วมงานจากทั่วประเทศร่วม 2,000 คน ให้ความสนใจเข้าเยี่ยมชมบูทจำนวนมาก
นางปวีณา หงสกุล ประธานมูลนิธิปวีณาฯ กล่าวว่า ขอขอบคุณ กรมคุ้มครองสิทธิและเสรีภาพ กระทรวงยุติธรรม ที่ให้เกียรติมอบรางวัลยกย่องเชิดชูเกียรติให้กับ “มูลนิธิปวีณาฯ” ในฐานะหน่วยงานดีเด่นด้านการช่วยเหลือเหยื่อผู้บริสุทธิ์ในกระบวนการยุติธรรม ประจำปี 2569 ซึ่งมูลนิธิปวีณาฯ ทำงานช่วยเหลือเหยื่อผู้เสียหายร่วมกับกรมคุ้มครองสิทธิฯ มาอย่างยาวนาน และได้รับความร่วมมืออย่างดียิ่งเสมอ ปัจจุบันยังมีปัญหาสังคมเกิดขึ้นมากมายและมีผู้เสียหายที่ยังต้องการความช่วยเหลือ มูลนิธิปวีณาฯ จะจับมือกับกรมคุ้มครองสิทธิฯ ในการช่วยเหลือเยียวยาผู้เสียหายต่อไป
