วันที่ 18 ก.ย. 67 นางปวีณา หงสกุล ประธานมูลนิธิปวีณาหงสกุลเพื่อเด็กและสตรี รับรางวัล "ขวัญใจมหาชน Her Awards, UNFPA Thailand 2024 : ประชากรหญิง ผู้สร้างแรงบันดาลใจ” สาขา ส่งเสริมยุติความรุนแรงด้วยเหตุแห่งเพศ ซึ่งเป็น 1 ใน 10 สาขา Popular vote ผู้ทรงอิทธิพลทางความคิด โดย กองทุนประชากรแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNFPA) ประจำประเทศไทย ร่วมกับ บริษัท ทีวีบูรพา จำกัด และบริษัท นินจา เพอร์เฟคชั่น จำกัด จัดงานมอบรางวัล “HER AWARDS, UNFPA THAILAND 2024 ประชากรหญิงผู้สร้างแรงบันดาลใจ” เพื่อยกย่องเชิดชูเกียรติ สร้างขวัญกำลังใจแก่บุคคลและองค์กร ทุกเพศ ทุกวัย ที่อุทิศตนทำงานขับเคลื่อน เพื่อส่งเสริมสตรีและเด็กผู้หญิง ในการยกระดับความเท่าเทียม ความเสมอภาคระหว่างเพศ และเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้กับสังคม ณ ห้องประชุม ESCAP HALL องค์การสหประชาชาติ ราชดำเนิน กรุงเทพมหานคร
นางปวีณา กล่าวขอบคุณ น.ส.สิริลักษณ์ เชียงว่อง หัวหน้าสำนักงาน UNFPA ประจำประเทศไทย บริษัท ทีวีบูรพา จำกัด และบริษัท นินจา เพอร์เฟคชั่น จำกัด ที่ได้ร่วมกันจัดกิจกรรมมอบรางวัล “HER AWARDS, UNFPA THAILAND 2024 ประชากรหญิงผู้สร้างแรงบันดาลใจ” เป็นครั้งแรก เพื่อเป็นขวัญกำลังใจให้กับทุกคนที่อุทิศตนทำงานขับเคลื่อนเพื่อส่งเสริมสตรีและเด็กผู้หญิง ในการยกระดับความเท่าเทียม ความเสมอภาคระหว่างเพศ และเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้กับสังคม โดยมอบรางวัล HER AWARDS, UNFPA THAILAND 2024 จำนวน 100 รางวัล ให้กับผู้ที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกจากทั่วประเทศ และรางวัล Popular vote จำนวน 10 รางวัล ซึ่งเป็นเสียงจากประชาชนร่วมโหวตให้เป็น ผู้ทรงอิทธิพลทางความคิด
ขอขอบคุณภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน ประชาชน สื่อมวลชน ที่ทำงานบูรณาการร่วมกับมูลนิธิปวีณาฯ ช่วยเหลือสังคม และประชาชนที่ช่วยแจ้งเบาะแสเข้ามายังมูลนิธิปวีณาฯ รวมถึงคณะกรรมการที่ปรึกษา เจ้าหน้าที่มูลนิธิปวีณาฯ และทุกท่านที่มีส่วนช่วยเหลือสังคมกับมูลนิธิปวีณาฯ ทำให้มูลนิธิปวีณาฯ ที่ช่วยเหลือสังคมมากว่า 25 ปี สามารถขับเคลื่อนการทำงานจนประสบความสำเร็จระดับหนึ่งได้ ดิฉันจึงขอมอบรางเกียรติยศนี้ให้กับทุกๆ ท่านที่มีส่วนร่วมช่วยเหลือสังคมกับมูลนิธิปวีณาฯ และเราจะจับมือเดินหน้าทำงานเพื่อพัฒนาสังคมให้ได้รับความเป็นธรรม มีความเท่าเทียม เพื่อพัฒนาประเทศให้มั่นคงยั่งยืนต่อไป
สำหรับ กองทุนประชากรแห่งสหประชาชาติ (United Nations Fund for Population Activities) กองทุนประชากรแห่งสหประชาชาติประจำ ประเทศไทย กองทุนประชากรแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNFPA) เริ่มดำ เนินงานความร่วมมือ ประเทศไทยในปี พ.ศ. 2514 ตลอดระยะเวลาที่ผ่านมา UNFPA ได้ร่วมงานกับ รัฐบาลไทย องค์กรพัฒนาเอกชน สถาบันการศึกษาและหน่วยงานเอกชนต่างๆ เพื่อสนับสนุนแผนปฏิบัติการในการประชุมระหว่างประเทศเรื่องประชากรกับการ พัฒนา (International Conference on Population and Development หรือ ICPD) และเป้าหมายการพัฒนาแห่งสหัสวรรษ (Millennium Development Goals หรือ MDGs) ในประเทศไทย โดยมุ่งเน้นยกระดับการ เข้าถึงบริการสาธารณสุข การบริการอนามัยการเจริญพันธุ์ การป้องกันการติด เชื้อเอชไอวี/เอดส์ การสนับสนุนด้านการจัดเก็บข้อมูลและบริการข้อมูลเพื่อ การพัฒนาและรองรับปัญหาประชากรที่กำลังจะเกิดขึ้น อาทิ ประชากรผู้สูงอายุ UNFPA ได้ให้ความร่วมมือทั้งทางด้านเทคนิคและทุนสนับสนุนในกิจกรรมต่างๆ รวมเกือบ 1,500 ล้านบาท
ภารกิจกองทุนประชากรแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNFPA) เป็นองค์การระหว่างประเทศที่สนับสนุนและส่งเสริมสิทธิ ของประชากรโดยไม่แยกหญิงชาย เด็กหรือผู้ใหญ่ เพื่อให้ ประชากรมีความสุขจากการมีชีวิตที่สมบูรณ์และโอกาสที่ เท่าเทียม UNFPA สนับสนุนประเทศต่างๆ ในการนำ ข้อมูล ทางด้านประชากรมาใช้กำ หนดนโยบายและโครงการ พัฒนาเพื่อลดความยากจน เพื่อให้ทุกการตั้งครรภ์เป็นที่ ต้องการ การคลอดทุกครั้งปลอดภัย เยาวชนปลอดเชื้อเอช ไอวี/เอดส์ ผู้หญิงและเด็กทุกคนได้รับการปฏิบัติอย่างให้ อย่างมีศักดิ์ศรีและด้วยความเคารพ
